Daniel Joyner

Founder & Principal of Joyco Digital

Dan Joyner is the founder and principal of Joyco Digital, a Bellingham-based marketing agency that helps businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations grow through strategic digital marketing. His work is guided by a simple belief: the best marketing doesn't interrupt communities; it builds them.

Before founding Joyco Digital, Dan spent years managing political campaigns and organizing communities across Washington State. Those experiences taught him that lasting success comes from understanding people, communicating with clarity, and creating systems that empower others to act. Those same principles continue to shape Joyco's approach to marketing today.

Dan's fascination with technology began early. By age seven, he was teaching himself DOS commands while watching his mother, a Western Washington University computer science graduate, work with computers at Bellingham's historic Morse Hardware. During the 2008 Obama presidential campaign, he witnessed how emerging digital tools could connect online engagement with real-world action, reinforcing his belief that technology has the power to strengthen communities.

After transitioning from politics to agency marketing, Dan worked with Bellingham firms including Gravit Digital, Red Rokk, and Big Fresh, developing expertise in digital strategy, project management, and content development. Those experiences ultimately led him to found Joyco Digital in 2018 with a clear mission: to help organizations replace marketing guesswork with thoughtful strategy, meaningful content, and measurable results.

Today, Dan leads a multidisciplinary team serving manufacturers, nonprofits, restaurants, professional service firms, and local businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Joyco's work spans digital advertising, search marketing, websites, content creation, public relations, and analytics, all designed to help organizations build sustainable growth.

Whether partnering with a local nonprofit or a growing business, Dan believes the strongest organizations are built around genuine human connection. Technology and marketing tools will continue to evolve, but understanding people, serving communities, and creating lasting value remain at the heart of every successful organization.
